Senior Website Developer

Location: Newark, NJ

Full time

Summary

Design and development of websites for phone, tablet, and web platforms using modern frameworks. Candidate should have a desire to build a better solution through research of best practices and the creation of a customer-friendly experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Design, Developing the Client application using Java technologies in a robust way to reuse the code for future implementations and improve the scalability.

· Developing clean, accessible, and modern web applications

· Design and develop RESTful web services with Java, Spring.

· Create wireframes/mockup/prototypes for UI

· Maintain and support existing website features for customers

· Optimize performance of front-end components across multiple delivery channels.

· Prepare conceptual, detailed, and technical design documentation.

· Must be proactive and investigate, analyze, and make recommendations regarding technology improvements, upgrades and modifications

· Develop test plans and scenarios to ensure accurate results across platforms and browsers

· Assist troubleshooting production issues

Education, Experience and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, or a very closely related field of study required and 5 years of work experience.

· In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 6 years of work experience in computer science, computer applications, software engineering or related Computer service.

• RESTful Web services, Amazon Webs Services AWS, Subversion, Sencha/Phone gap,

• Docker

• AWS Cloudfront, Cloudwatch, ECS, Elastic Bean Stalk, S3, Lambda

• Github, Github Actions CI/CD

• Google Analytics, Google Maps API v3.

• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks

• Familiarity with third party vendor APIs Integrations

• Knowledge of website SEO and Accessibility

• Experience with AWS products and services

• Experience with using task/build/automation tools in coordination with DevOps

• Experience with Docker and containerization

• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
