Experienced Fine Dining Server (Italian Cuisine and Wine Expert)

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Fine Dining Server with expertise in Italian cuisine and wine knowledge, to join our dynamic team. As a Fine Dining Server, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests receive an exceptional dining experience, by providing top-notch service and knowledge of our menu items, wines, and specials.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional service to our guests, and have a good attitude at all times.
• Have strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, including preparation techniques and ingredients.
• Properly serve a bottle of wine and have extensive knowledge of Napa Valley wines.
• Elegantly present the specials of the day to the guests, making recommendations and answering questions as needed.
• Have bar knowledge, and the ability to work a small one-man bar.
• Multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and other staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.
• Sell smartly and effectively, without being pushy, increasing sales and overall revenue for the restaurant.
• Be quick and efficient, ensuring guests are served in a timely manner.
• Thrive off teamwork, and contribute to creating a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fine Dining Server in an Italian restaurant.
• In-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine, wine, and cocktails.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Bar knowledge and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask, work efficiently, and be a team player.
• Good sales skills, able to sell without being pushy.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• High energy and enthusiasm for the job.
• Ability to handle pressure with a calm and professional demeanor.
