Job Description

As a member of the Boiler Parts - Pressure Parts Team, you will be an active contributor to the delivery of replacement parts and services that will help a customer maintain and operate their boiler safely. This role will require you to collaborate with a cross functional team to develop quotes and deliver successful parts orders to the customer.

Success in this role looks like:
Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of an array of Boiler Pressure Parts designs and functions, applying that knowledge to the preparation of quotes or proposals to meet customer specifications, and then delivering profitable orders that meet the customer’s schedule and quality expectations.

You will be an indispensable team member, with excellent abilities to manage a pipeline of quotes and orders that at times may have competing priorities

Who You Are:

  • You are someone who brings a sense of urgency to deliver on your commitments together with a desire to work as part of a team to understand and meet customers’ needs.
  • You have experience with transactional customer service, SAP, logistics, and industrial or utility boilers

Your Role:

  • Develop quotations/proposals in response to customer requests utilizing established processes, procedures, and the experience of existing staff.
  • Support various stakeholders in the Inquiry to Order (ITO) Sales strategy for parts and repair opportunities, generating proposals / pricing and closing repair orders.
  • Execute the Order to Remittance (OTR) process for repair orders including managing key milestones, commercializing shop inspection reports, facilitating communication between supplier and key customer contacts, and following projects through to completion utilizing established processes and procedures.
  • Handles multiple customer requirements simultaneously. Selects appropriate communication method to fit the situation. Is tactful in dealing with customers and suppliers. Able to gain cooperation from other teams to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Review and analyze customer specifications, drawings, and bills of material, understanding and clarifying their needs. Work with other internal team members to define job scope.
  • Act as a point of contact for any customer-related problems. Resolve disputes and manage customer complaints.
  • Research and read drawings and bill of materials to identify standard parts, upgrades and alternative solutions.
  • Suggest and implement initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction and improve service performance, make good technical and commercial decisions, and adapt to changing work environments.
  • Work with subject matter experts (SME), product managers, and sales team to help develop and maintain a proper forecast for future repair work
  • Develops sales skills to follow up on open opportunities and provide competitive feedback. Is persuasive and uses accepted sales techniques.
  • Builds rapport with customers and suppliers. Some travel to customer sites and supplier shops.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a focus on STEM or Business; OR (Associate’s degree from an accredited university or college with a focus on STEM or Business with at least 2 years of experience in technical sales & services or technical customer service; OR A high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in experience in technical sales & services or technical customer service.)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 platform (proficient in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote. SharePoint experience a plus)
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills that allows you to achieve cooperation and reach agreement with customers and internal departments
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude and experience to manage milestones on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possess good time management skills and work with little supervision
  • Prior manufacturing or design experience preferred, with exposure to engineering or shop drawings; Knowledge of pricing structures
  • Familiarity with boiler product offerings, with a focus on Boiler Pressure Parts technology and processes.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, market pricing
  • Application of LEAN principles in a transactional environment
  • Foreign language skills (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) a plus

The salary range for this position is $66,400.00 - $99,600.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for variable incentive compensation.
