Position Summary:
Shipping/Receiving Coordinator position including such activities that include but are not limited to: Confirm and record receipt of inbound and outbound shipments, assign product and prepare customer orders for shipment, load and unload inbound product from trucks, organize and locate products for accurate product assignment. Distribute materials in a timely manner to the appropriate areas throughout the company. Update incoming and outgoing items in the ERP system.
Essential Functions:
- Accurately filling, packaging and completing customer orders for shipment
- Responsible for reconciling and correcting errors associated with these activities.
- Accurate assignment and completing of customer orders.
- Counting, verifying, and receiving product with a high level of detail and accuracy.
- Maintaina clean, organized and safe work environment daily.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Good customer service and communication skills dealing with internal and external customers.
- Team orientated individual.
- Knowledge of methods and procedures pertaining to the processing and distribution of a variety of products
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift/ light truck)
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Familiarity with United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express (FedEx) and LTL freight shipment requirements
- Prior experience and familiarity with bill of ladings
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be highly organized, accurate and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Required Work Experience
- At least two years of warehouse experience
- Inventory control and processing experience would be helpful
Major Experience Required:
- At least two years’ work experience, post college preferred
- Experience in logistics (truckload and less than truckload logistics) and/or supply chain
- Ability to use critical thinking and analytical skills to make decisions quickly
- Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft Office Software. Advanced experience with the tools required (pivot tables, lookups, macros, Access)
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
