General Summary of the Position
This position is responsible for designing and fabricating signs and banners.
Essential Functions
- Design/fabricate signs and assist with other shop duties as needed.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Requirements
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Noise level is generally loud.
- Must be able to quickly move arms and legs.
- Excellent stamina is required.
- Always wear appropriate safety protection devices or clothing.
- Must be a team player.
- Excellent customer service
- Knowledge of basic math (measuring, weight in pounds)
Education, Training and Experience
- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
- Sign Shop experience a plus.
- Computer graphics/design a plus.
- Carpentry and Wood Framing skills a plus
- Banner and sign experience a plus
- Working with aluminum
- Inventory experience
- Forklift certification a plus
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
- Clean driving record a must
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be a team player
- Customer service driven
Work Context
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
