Job description

Sign Installer: Seeking candidates experienced in installation of large pylon signs, channel letters, foundations, directional signs, application of vinyl and graphics to various surfaces, conduct surveys, etc. Must be a leader on the job site and capable of making safe & good decisions. Have good communication and customer service skills, current valid driver’s license, CDL Class B preferred, NYS Crane Operators license preferred, Clean Driving Record (no or few points, approved by insurance carrier). OSHA 10 Certificate needed. Certified Welding Certificate a plus.

Have the ability to:

• Operate equipment, including but not limited to: heavy-duty trucks, cranes, excavators, backhoe, jack hammers, walk behind trenchers, concrete buggy’s, etc.
• Manual labor, including but not limited to: hand digging foundation holes, lifting 50 lbs or more, manual loading /unloading.
• Ability to work at heights over 50 feet.
• Travel throughout NY and surrounding states.
• Work alone or as part of a team.
• Work outdoors and indoors. Weekends and Evenings may be required.
• Take completion photos for proof of installation.
• Basic computer skills to navigate the internet, use GPS, and use tablets.

Full understanding & knowledge of:

• All basic safety procedures (eg. Ladder, Scaffold, Swing Stage, etc)
• Tool Box Talks & Jobsite Pre-Inspections
• Hand & Power Tool Operations, Maintenance, & Safety
• Crane/Bucket/Generator Operations, Maintenance, & Safety
• Welding/Cutting Torch Operation & Safety
• Electrical, Runs & Hook-Ups & Safety
• Blueprint/Drawing/Written Procedures
• Truck/Equipment Inspections & Recordkeeping
• Installation Methods for the Type of Sign Being Installed (Pylon, Letters, etc.)
• Good Housekeeping of Equipment & Work Areas
• Worker & Public Safety

In addition to the above;

• Follows Directions of Superior/Owner
• Complete Projects in a Timely Manner
• Keep Equipment Clean & Maintenance Up to Date
• Attend installer & safety meetings as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.50 per hour
