Overview
The Social Media Coordinator is a highly motivated individual with a passion for social media and content creation with strong knowledge of the influencer landscape. This role is accountable for the success of the Newfields brand in all current and future social media environments while working within the Marketing department to lead the industry in creative and effective social media based promotions. An ideal candidate will be well versed in analytics and comfortable providing recommendations based on performance data.
Responsibilities
- Social Media 
   - Directly responsible for the success of the Newfields brand across all social media platforms. This position is expected to strategize, develop, and activate dynamic content on a consistent basis. 
     - This includes ongoing thought leadership in all things related to social media, engagement, influencer partnerships, and content creation.
 
- Monitor social media to engage with guests, influencers, community members and partners as appropriate. Reshare posts and stories strategically.
- Oversee content calendar factoring in internal, and editorial coverage requirements for all marketing communications to assure that messages are aligned throughout social, email, and digital content. This includes the timely review/ routing to stakeholders as needed.
- Monitor social media to engage with guests, influencers, community members and partners as appropriate. Reshare posts and stories strategically.
- Review and share out weekly social media metrics. Provide Director of Marketing with ongoing feedback/suggestions.
 
- Directly responsible for the success of the Newfields brand across all social media platforms. This position is expected to strategize, develop, and activate dynamic content on a consistent basis. 
     
- Influencer Relations 
   - Develop, implement, and manage successful influencer strategy that amplifies Newfields brand and marketing messages across new, relevant audiences.
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with influencers and community leaders at all levels. This includes but is not limited to: Social media influencers, bloggers, local/regional/national personalities, tastemakers, artists, and their agent/ teams when relevant.
- Maintain an accurate and ongoing influencer database
 
- Email Content - Work with Content Editor and Graphic Design to: 
   - Design and build emails in alignment with content strategy for weekly newsletters and strategically driven targeted campaigns.
- Create advancement on email communications as needed
- Review and understand analytics of email communications and provide Content Editor, Director of Marketing with feedback/suggestions
 
- Data Analytics 
   - Serve as marketing representative on Data Analytics Task Force
- Provide updated information from marketing owned channels to task force
- Work with Data Analytics Task Force to determine customer journey planning in conjunction with Director of Marketing
 
- Proactively identifies emerging design trends and contributes to robust internal creative conversations.
Required Skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail to maintain consistency and accuracy in work.
- Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator in a Mac environment.
- Demonstrated flexibility to adjust to rapidly changing requirements and schedules, and at times act on own initiative.
- Works collaboratively with peers and other departments to continuously improve quality and performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Educations and/or Experience
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field and/or experience as an Influencer.
- One to three years of experience preferred in social media content, communications, marketing, public relations or a related field.
- Excellent photography (social media), written, and verbal communication skills. Strong videography, gif creation, and editing skills are a plus.
- Maintains professional demeanor, particularly when dealing with the public, media, board, members, donors, or other important constituents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
