Job summary Merch on Demand is a rapidly expanding Amazon business that provides a make-on-demand platform for creating, publishing, promoting, and selling merchandise such as t-shirts, hoodies, and other products. Content creators can create, sell and market their merchandise using this platform. Amazon Music provides unlimited access to new releases and classic hits across iOS and Android mobile devices, PC, Mac, Echo, and Alexa-enabled devices including Fire TV and more. With Amazon Music, Prime members have access to ad-free listening of 2 million songs at no additional cost to their membership. We are looking to reimagine the Music livestream shopping and pop-up events experience leveraging the Merch on Demand capability. Key job responsibilities As an Engineer for the Merch on Demand team, you will play a key role in shaping the definition, design, roadmap and development of our Make-on-Demand Warehouse Management System, which handles all aspects of inventory management, order/shipment orchestration, and production management within each Production Centers across North America, Europe and Japan. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of end-to-end multi-tier software, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience developing web services and large-scale software.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations
- Experience with an Agile software development methodology
- Expertise in Java, DB concepts and handling large scale distributed systems
