Job Description:

We are supporting a large contract to develop advanced tools and applications in support of the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) in Dahlgren, VA. Our team is looking for an experienced Software Engineer with a desire to develop and deploy state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) solutions that solve some of the most challenging problems facing our nation. Recognized as a leader in the application of AI/ML within the DoD, our work includes machine vision, natural language processing, pattern-of-life learning, anomaly detection, predictive analysis, adversarial plan recognition, and advanced sense-making.

Parsons is offering a $20,000.00 sign on bonus to the candidate that is selected to fulfill this position. Sign on bonuses are subject to terms and conditions of employment as well as being subjected to applicable taxation.

Physical location for this classified work will be at the Joint Warfare Analysis Center in Dahlgren, VA.

Required Skills

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active Top-Secret clearance and DCID eligibility for SCI
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 5+ years of industry experience. Relevant experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong Python, Java, or C# software development skills with experience in full stack application development
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and taking the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
  • Excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written English

Desired Skills

  • Experience with AWS SageMaker, NiFi, Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Linux OS is a plus
  • Experience deploying software to DoD classified systems & networks
  • Experience in automating scalable machine learning and inferencing pipelines
  • Experience developing C# UI plugins for ArcGIS Pro
  • Machine learning and data science tools (e.g., Python, R, Jupyter, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Apache Spark, etc.)
  • Geospatial analysis tools (e.g., Shapely, GeoPandas, ArcGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer, leaflet, etc.)
  • Experience with Semantic Web technologies a plus
