Technical/Team Overview and Environment:
We are seeking a candidate who has 5+ years in the sales industry with a technical background such as a STEM or engineering degree, technical sales, etc. Ideal candidate should also have familiarity with business proposals, RFI’s, RFP’s and understand the dynamics within such a setting such as compliance, communications, etc. Ideal candidate will also be responsible for contributing to the business development team as a whole.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for seeking new opportunities within the federal and commercial setting and writing clear RFI’s as well as RFP’s.
· Generating new business within the aforementioned settings
· Developing and sending marketing materials to prospective customers
· Creating marketing plans, strategies, and campaigns based on research of target audiences, products, services, and competitors
· Researching new technologies and implementing new tools to improve customer experience and increase sales efficiency
· Developing content for marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, catalogs, and presentations
· Consulting with engineers and designers to develop new products or improve existing ones
· Managing projects from start to finish including writing proposals, negotiating contracts, and monitoring progress
· Developing pricing strategies for products or services based on market conditions and competition
· Participating in trade shows, seminars, and conferences to promote products or services
· Writing marketing copy for advertisements, brochures, and other materials to promote products or services
· Tracking customer responses to advertisements and marketing campaigns in order to improve future efforts
· Expert writing skills and exceptional communication skills are a must
