Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Director of Operations and serves as a functional leader within the PSG Hydro Team. This role is responsible for the development and delivery of supply strategies that ensure supply continuity (quality and delivery) of purchased parts, components, assemblies, services. Additional responsibilities include: process excellence, analytic and decision support, outsourcing/in sourcing, strategic/global/BVC (Best Value Country) sourcing, category management, supply base development and management, new product development, merger and acquisition due diligence, integration


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and clear direction in strategic and tactical supply chain activities to support the PSG Hydro business growth.
  • Create and implement strategies to drive the improvements in the sourcing of materials and supplies, while ensuring supplier quality, cost, and delivery targets are maintained.
  • Develop and execute projects to improve working capital (planning, inventory, payment terms, service)
  • Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service
  • Provide cost savings recommendations and ensure spend is within budget
  • Manage the development of multiple suppliers, as well as the criteria for contract negotiations and administration.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarder
  • Perform spend data and analytics (Bravo); manage supply risk with mitigation plans; effectively tracking and reporting supply chain initiatives results
  • Ensure compliance will all appropriate regulations related to the organization supply chain (supplier TPG, country of origin, HTS, REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, tooling/assist)
  • Comply with and model all safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
  • Ensures that all assignments are performed in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Provincial and Company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, proper personal protective equipment is utilized


Qualifications/Requirements
:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field). Graduate degree is preferred
  • 8 + years of supply management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Professional certification CPSM, CPM, CPIM, CIRM, PMP preferred
  • Experience, or knowledge of, data systems and analytics which can include ERP/MRP/MRP II systems
  • Strong computer skills Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience with lean manufacturing techniques, project management, supplier management
  • Excellent people skills and adaptable to change, and strong presentation skills to present to upper management
  • Lead large cross-functional teams through an end-to-end project lifecycle to implement new processes and systems
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
