Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will support the growth of RWJBarnabas Health Physician Recruitment Team by leading the sourcing for all physician candidates for searches across a variety of specialties and facilities to support cost-effective, expeditious and successful placement and retention of highly qualified physicians.

Location: Remote; must reside in NJ.

Hours: 9A-5P, M-F

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Lead kick-off discussions with Clinical, Administrative or Practice leadership to discern the specifications for the position and characteristics of the ideal physician candidate
  • Create customized job postings with details about the position, requirements, and highlights of the benefits of the role, location, facility, etc.
  • Source qualified physician candidates via job boards, email blasts, social media (ie. LinkedIn), internal referrals, direct mail, telephone calls/cold calls, attendance at conferences, text message campaigns, and through additional sourcing techniques, as identified.
  • Support coordination of conferences including developing and monitoring timelines for application as well as efforts to promote our team s presence at the event (i.e. text and email campaigns, outreach to training programs, postcards, and giveaways)
  • Champion outreach efforts and build internal pipeline for internal residents and fellows within RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers programs, as well as training programs across the tri-state area, which may include coordination of on-site workshops, webinars, and events.
  • Manage or support management of annual physician recruitment event to connect graduating residents/fellows with employed RWJBH physicians as well as clinical and administrative leadership with the intent to recruit top physician talent.
  • Regularly update physician database systems (i.e. PracticeMatch, PracticeLink) to ensure accurate information about active searches.
  • Communicate on an ongoing basis with all physician recruiters to identify priority searches or searches in need of additional attention.
  • Maintain the comprehensive dashboard to track sourcing efforts across all platforms (job boards, emails, calls, text messages, databases) and monitor the effectiveness of each tactic.
  • Maintain accurate information on the expenses related to each sourcing tactic and be able to provide average cost per placement for sourcing efforts for a given specialty.
  • Develop and maintain close rapport and accurate contact list for all vendors including database systems, job boards, and other companies that support our sourcing efforts.
  • Monitor the contracts with all vendors and request renewals and/or extensions of agreements, when needed, which includes coordination with internal contracting team for approvals and to facilitate payment to all vendors.
  • Participate in other duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to recruit and retain physicians, and support the efforts of the physician recruitment division.

Preferred knowledge, skills, experience, and education:

  • 1-5 years of marketing/sourcing experience at an agency or healthcare system.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization. Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients, including administrators, physicians, peers, and support staff.
  • Excellent understanding and ability to work with Microsoft Excel and manage large database information.
  • Exhibit a high energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as a team, with flexibility in work habits to schedule and meet the needs of the medical staff.
  • The ability to multi-task, plan, and prioritize a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.
  • Strong computer technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct Internet research in an efficient, productive manner.
