Sous Chef Needed at Marzano – $500 Signing Bonus

Marzano is seeking a Sous Chef:

• Full-Time
• Consistent Schedule, Thursday through Monday (weekends required) 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., in a happy, positive team environment
• Salary range 52-72k to start (based on experience), potential to earn yearly bonuses
• Healthcare covered at 100%

• $500 Signing Bonus, plus 1st year anniversary bonus of $1000.

Our ideal candidate is well versed in Italian food, menu development, BOH training and management, labor and food cost management, ordering, inventory, and some light administrative work such as, scheduling, invoicing, etc. We are seeking a team member with strong attention to detail who loves supporting and being part of a dedicated and engaged team while having fun and leading in a focused and thoughtful manner.

The Sous Chef Position:

· Oversee BOH operations and ensure quality control on a daily basis

· Support BOH employee training, performance feedback, coaching, and communication

· Assisting the Executive Chef to create and develop seasonal menu and ongoing special offerings

· Scheduling and inventory, labor and food controls

· Ensuring a clean, organized, stocked and smooth BOH operations

What You’ll Need as the Sous Chef:

· 2+ years BOH restaurant management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment

· Strong knowledge of seasonal Italian cuisine

· Commitment to service excellence

· Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as a part of a team

· Superior attention to detail, and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines

· Responsible, respectful and supportive management acumen

· Able to clearly communicate directly, professionally, and respectfully, both Verbal and Written

· Successful conflict resolution abilities
