Job description
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the spa with an emphasis on maximizing profits by creating a culture centered on excellent customer service and customer satisfaction
- Lead a diverse staff of service professionals, with a demonstrated ability to balance coaching/mentoring with discipline
- Lead the Front Desk team to execute, implement and achieve aggressive individual and team sales goals in spa memberships, service enhancements and upgrades, and retail sales
- Create marketing strategies to with a goal of maximizing profit and revenue
- Increase sales base by presenting health and wellness benefits of massage therapy and skin care services, and overcoming objections during sales process
- Address and resolve customer issues and compliants
- Track and create schedules to optimize capacity and revenues
- Utilize reporting and data analytics to determine strengths and areas of improvement
- Uphold cleanliness standards throughout the spa
- Handle administrative tasks including, but not limited to payroll, scheduling, ordering/inventory, and reporting
- Hire, train, supervise, develop and mentor a best in class team according to Hand & Stone policies and procedures
- Organize and participate in community outreach
- Ensure compliance with all Hand & Stone Policies and procedure in addtion to the local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- A passion for people and sales, with a high level of enthusiasm
- Highly organized and exceptional time management skills, we want the spa to run effectively and exceed our customers’ expectations
- Empathy, the ability to put yourself in someone else’s shoes is a must
- Ability to use sound judgement and work independently
- Computer proficiency
- Positive attitude, responsibility and dependability are a must
- Critical thinking skills, including customer conflict resolution
- Ability to work flexible schedule including days/evenings/weekends/holidays
- Enthusiasm for ongoing training and education, personally and for staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be utilized internally and externally
- Minimum of 2 years of sales/customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality or spa environment
