We are seeking a School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with speech and language needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other school staff.

Responsibilities:

• Implement speech and language therapy services for students as directed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Assist the SLP with assessment, treatment planning, and progress monitoring
• Use evidence-based interventions and techniques to support students' speech and language development
• Collaborate with other school staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers, to support student's academic and social-emotional needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and behavior
• Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
• Arizona SLPA licensure
• Previous experience working with students with speech and language needs in an educational setting
• Knowledge of speech and language therapy techniques and interventions
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary clearances
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other school staff
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate and benefits package. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with hours to be determined by the school's needs.
