MUST:
Experienced Speech Language Pathologist
1+ years of professional experience
Licensed in Mayland and ASHA Certification in good standing
EMR preferred
Hospital Experience preferred
DUTIES:
The Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children
Ability to meet federal and state regulations for licensure and certification
Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of patients
Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders
Complete comprehensive assessments in the area of need
Conduct therapy sessions in accordance with IEP
Identify students at risk for later communication problems
Complete daily documentation of services and outcomes
Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events
Has knowledge of fine motor, visual/perceptual-motor, sensorimotor, and sensory integration delays, and disorders
Keeps detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress
Reports progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members and/or medical professionals
Collaborates with all IEP team members to build student programs
Understand, utilize, and remain abreast of best practices and therapy modalities within the field
Performs small group and individual therapy based on client needs
Has strong time management and organizational skills
