Sr. Licensing Consultant - Specialized Vendors

This position will report to the ITAM Services manager and is located at SHI’s Somerset Office location.

- Develop and follow an effective process to research and gain the knowledge required to provide ITAM services on new non-core vendors publishers’ product use rights, license allowances, and contractual entitlements
- Ensure that ITAM knowledge and process stay aligned with changes associated to in-scope non-core vendors
- Train, support, and mentor ITAM license consultants, analysts, and technicians on new non-core vendors or changes to these vendors
- When instructed by management or when needed to train or mentor other ITAM associates, deliver ITAM services on non-core vendors for our customers
- Develop any vendor specific delivery processes required to support new non-core vendors
- Partner with ITAM Product Management, as needed, to bring new services to market or make changes to existing services
- Collaborate with ITAM Product Management on Marketing, Pricing, and Sales Enablement considerations for new non-core vendor service delivery
- Advocate SHI Services to SHI Account Executives and their customers
- Engage with other SHI departments to collaborate in the delivery of integrated services.
- Assist in creating and updating internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Participate with specialist knowledge in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as well as confirming SOW requirements, as required by Solution Consultants
- Participate alongside with ITAM
- Solutions Consultants in pre-sales activities to advise customers and inform of SHI’s ITAM capabilities
- Attend, support and represent SHI at conferences and events
- Regularly present at industry events, SHI Summits and Webinars
- Keep up to date with industry trends and new ITAM services requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, as well as a minimum of
- 5 years of experience within the Software or IT Asset Management field
- SAM knowledge on 3 - 5 non-core publishers
- Understand IT Lifecycle from licensing to purchasing to deployment to decommissioning
- ITAM service delivery expertise on 3-5 “specialized” vendors
- Excellent listening skills and emotional intelligence

- Position requires frequent travel to customer sites (25%)
- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $85,000 – $120,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
