What we're looking for

Vacasa seeks a Sr. Business Analyst to provide analytic and strategic support to Vacasa's Finance, Sales, & Ops leadership teams. This role is perfect for 'smart generalists' who specialize in leveraging analytics to solve a wide variety of business problems. You will identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities - prescribing strategies, setting targets, and leading the improvement effort.

You will be responsible for leading and driving process improvements (short-term wins) as well as process & product design/redesign (long-term wins) efforts. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional efforts in testing and implementation. You will identify efficiencies that can be captured by operational changes as well as technology automation and innovation. Cross-functional leadership and change management experience is required to build consensus across a rapidly growing & transforming company.

What you'll do

  • Dive into complex business problems where you might not have previous experience and summarize issues and opportunities for leadership to action
  • Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to summarize potential actions against initiatives
  • Model the impact of new initiatives on the business, and analyze success post launch
  • Balance reactive data analysis requests with proactive work based on company objectives
  • Be a champion for change; working to ensure organizational alignment against profitable initiatives
  • Creatively problem solve to ensure timelines are met even when data or resource might not be readily available

Skills you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferably in a technical field such as engineering, math, finance
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical or project management role
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and turning the numbers into a cohesive story for Senior Leadership across departments
  • Experience collaborating with FP&A & Accounting stakeholders
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations
  • Ability to write advanced SQL against production tables
  • Excel and experience with financial modeling
  • Tableau or other visualization software preferred
  • Attention to detail and an ability to diagnose data problems

Working conditions

Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MT, NC, NH, NM, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY

You'll be working in your home office setting. We hold virtual training sessions and weekly team meeting. Occasional offsite team meetings in your region or our HQ locations. Requires frequent, repetitive use of a computer, phone, and office equipment. Requires patient, professional communication with prospective clients, and the ability to build confidence with prospects.

Compensation

  • $75000 - $100000 / year
