Job Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for tracking Birds Eye Aerial Drones (BEAD) financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make strategic and tactical decisions by providing periodic reports. This position reports to the HR Director and is a non-remote position.

This position reports to the HR Director and is a non-remote position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management
- Must have experience and a solid understanding of prevailing wage and Davis Bacon payroll processing requirements
- Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting
- Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
- Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new regulations or policies
- Ensure compliance of the BEAD 401K program and complete the annual compliance testing and 5500 Form
- Produce reports providing guidance to senior management regarding the financial impact of new position, raises and bonuses
- Responsibilities could include but are not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit card reconciliation, bank account management
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, QuickBooks, and financial modeling
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to accuracy and detail required
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent on the job experience, or CPA or CMA a plus.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in business finance, financial planning & analysis, or other related fields.
