Strategic Sourcing Intermediate
Reports to: Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing
Overview: Executes Strategic Sourcing Projects, Contract Management, Supplier Performance and Relationship Management Programs, and overall Supply Chain Process Improvements.
Essential Duties:
- Contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Perform analysis to determine sourcing opportunities to reduce total cost and improve Supplier performance.
- Execute sourcing initiatives through implementation, including all direct and indirect spend categories including post award contract management.
- Contribute to the administration of a Strategic Supplier Performance and Relationship Management Program.
- Ensure Supplier contract compliance and resolve open issues.
- Provide quarterly market updates to forecast and mitigate market disruptions.
- Utilize sound cost modeling to determine negotiation strategies to obtain optimal contract outcome
- Contribute to a continuous improvement culture through process standardization, regular metric review and process updates.
- Contribute to the enhancement of Sourcing KPI’s, ensure accurate measurement of KPI’s, and report out as needed.
- Meet or exceed performance objectives set by supervisor.
Non-Essential Duties: Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

- Perform all assigned duties.
- Utilize creativity, analytical skills and judgement to solve problems and drive down total cost and improve Supplier performance (with supervision).
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate above average written, verbal communication and presentation skills needed to influence without direct authority.
- Understand of commercial and legal terms and conditions and the ability to negotiate.
- Effectively interact with internal customers and upper management to ensure that all requirements are being met.
- Demonstrate solid organizational skills and prioritize work to meet deadlines with direction from supervisor.
- Excellent data analytical skills and use of Microsoft Office products required.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge in the field of supply chain management concepts, practices, and procedures supplier management strategies.
- Knowledge of gas compression industry parts and supply base preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP system (i.e. Oracle/SAP/JD Edwards) preferred.
Bachelor's degree in related field (i.e. Business/Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering) required.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 3 years related experience in a supply chain or related role.
Leadership:
May serve as a resource to others with less experience or non Supply Chain personnel.

- Regularly required to stand, walk, and bend with good balance, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to sit, perform repetitive duties, use a PC and to talk and hear.

- Regularly required to lift, move and carry up to 10 pounds.
