The College of Technology/Computing at Utah Valley University is seeking a student data analyst to assist the Woodbury School of Business.
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring continual office coverage at the Entrepreneurship Institute front desk. As well as to help the dean identify interesting data, determine how to collect the data, display the data in practical formats, and improve college processes.
- Answer in-person and phone inquiries
- Recording details about who and what questions are asked.
- Check to make sure information is formatted correctly
- Enter new information
- Keep the database up to date, including inputting notes from meetings held by the director and the consulting GA.
Must be a current UVU student.
- Knowledge and experience working in an office environment.
- Use of computers and computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and databases.
- Word processing and/or data entry.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimal supervision.
- Follow specific verbal and written procedures and instructions.
- Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a diverse population, as well as demonstrating interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and reliability.
