Responsibilities

  • Ensures that program policies and procedures are current and accurately reflect ongoing functioning of the Alcohol & Drug Treatment Center. The policies and procedures are to be in compliance with state regulations and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Organizations (JCAHO) standards.


  • Promotes substance abuse prevention and treatment in the community including monitoring the ongoing development and activities of the ADTC Alumni Organization.


  • Interviews, hires, orients, trains, evaluates the performance of, and, when necessary, disciplines and recommends discharge of subordinate personnel with Director’s approval. Clinically supervises, completes competency checklists, quality assurance updates, and staff development plans for the Alcohol & Drug Treatment Center counseling staff.


  • Develops and ensures quality program components that are client-focused and complimentary to CHI Health St. Francis’ mission and goals. Responsible for consistently providing information to the Director regarding incidents which have a potential to adversely affect the image of the service to the community.


  • Provides staff support with therapeutic evaluation and treatment assessment for complex client care. Assumes direct client care responsibilities when dictated by staff departures, leave, or illness. Attends clinical staff meetings to provide direction.


  • Makes recommendations to the Director in developing and maintaining department budgets and in establishing program goals and objectives.


  • Communicates with clients, families, and/or referral sources. Resolves concerns or questions involving client care and program activity.


  • Ensures quality clinical documentation by counseling staff.


  • Schedules counseling staff work shifts to meet program needs.


  • Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books,


Qualifications


Experience

  • Knowledge of counseling substance abusers and managing substance abuse programs as normally acquired by completing a master’s degree in the Human Services field.


License/Certification

  • Requires licensure as a Mental Health Practitioner and an Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor (LMHP/LADC). Requires knowledge and understanding of management techniques, clinical supervision, allocating funding resources, performing employee appraisals, the disease process, and Alcoholics Anonymous as typically acquired through completion of 5 years of experience in the field of substance abuse.
  • Must have and maintain at all times, a valid Nebraska driver’s license within 30 days of hire or transfer date and a good driving record. Must be able to utilize their own transportation during work time.

Pay Range
$23.98 - $34.78 /hour
