About the Opportunity

This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00]

This position is with FirstEnergy Supply Chain Material Operations and will be located at the Connellsville Distribution Center. The expectation is three days on site and two days remote.

This position is responsible for the coordination and communication of all information as it pertains to stock material and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety.
  • Replenishing materials using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications such as SAP to establish appropriate stock levels of inventory.
  • Providing support for other Supply Chain Analysts.
  • Evaluating inventory and excess inventory.
  • Producing reports and summaries regarding inventory/stock levels.
  • Interacting with all levels of Management (internal/external).
  • Willingness to work in a higher classification.
  • Support storm restoration processes which may include travel.
  • A Level II Analyst can use information to solve basic problems.
  • A Level III Analyst has applied experience to generalize conceptual knowledge to solve routine problems.

Qualifications:

Supply Chain Analyst II

  • Associate degree with a concentration in Purchasing, Materials Management, Business, Computer Science, or Engineering or related field. In lieu of a degree, High School Diploma (or GED) along with a minimum of two (2) years professional work experience.
  • Experience using all Microsoft products with an emphasis on proficiency in excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the company's safety policies.
  • Working knowledge of the warehouse management and inventory control systems is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
  • Communicates effectively across functional and operational boundaries.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments.
  • Ability to make timely decisions that use available material and resources in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide administrative/clerical support as needed.
  • Employee behaves in a positive, professional, and respectful manner.

Supply Chain Analyst III

  • To include all the Supply Chain Analysts II qualifications.
  • Associate degree with a concentration in Purchasing, Materials Management, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with two (2) years related experience or four (4) years with High School Diploma or GED. Equivalent work experience in Energy Delivery, Nuclear or Fossil preferred.
  • Knowledge of the company's labor agreements.
  • Working knowledge of the warehouse management and inventory control systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Knowledge of material control processes and requirement.

Supply Chain Analyst IV

  • To include all the Supply Chain Analysts II-III qualifications.
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Purchasing, Materials Management, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with four (4) years related experience or seven (7) years with High School Diploma or GED. Equivalent work experience in Energy Delivery, Nuclear or Fossil preferred.
  • Demonstrate outstanding performance at the Supply Chain Analyst III level.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Excellent working relationships with all levels of Management (internal/external).
  • Knowledge and experience buying all commodities.
  • Model active learning through continuing to develop breadth of knowledge, skills, and perspective.
  • Holds self to a standard that results in doing one’s best work.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency around accomplishing goals.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate inventory, demand, and purchases.
  • Leading or being a core member of a project outside regular duties.
  • Experience in supporting/filling in for Warehouse and DLS Supervisors.
  • Ability to generate PowerPoint presentations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivot tables, Downloading SAP files and manipulating data in Excel).
  • Proficiency in all SAP transactions and SAP reports needed to manage all aspects of department and individual goals.
