Bridge to Housing program provides transitional housing and services to men who demonstrate the ability and means to successfully transition from A New Leaf’s homeless shelter with minimal support. A New Leaf strongly believes in offering a hand up to men willing to put in the effort to improve their lives. Through stable living, comprehensive services, and compassionate attention to the challenges each man faces, A New Leaf helps men experiencing homelessness find their feet and become contributing members of the community once again.

Pay: $18.00
Location: Mesa, AZ

Flexible Schedule:
  • 4 days a week, 10:00pm - 8:00am
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Attend and actively contribute to weekly staff and training meetings.
  • Document (verbal/written) and submit significant and routine paperwork such as progress notes, statistics reports, daily activities, upcoming events, special concerns, varied incident reports, etc., as required by the program and submit to appropriate personnel.
  • Under the direction of the manager, implement day-to-day structure:
  • Role model appropriate behaviors to clients
  • Answer and screen phone calls (multiple lines)
  • Complete program paperwork designed to job
  • Brief clients on house rules, chores, housekeeping, requirements, fire safety instructions, assuring adherence.
  • Provide resources/screening crisis calls
  • Complete client intake/exit forms
  • Oversee off-site activities
  • Provide varied verbal and physical crisis intervention.
  • Assist with determining priority for program components in conjunction with the Program Supervisor/Manager.
  • Assist with the introduction of program and facility orientation.
  • Assist with maintaining program appearance: cleanliness and maintenance of agency physical plant, equipment and/or agency vehicles. May report repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Assist in training new staff as required.
  • Prepare and/or assist with meal/snack preparation and serving, including assisting with cleanup.
  • Provide transportation in the agency vehicle as needed for scheduled activities.
Qualifications:
  • High School or GED preferred
  • Experience working with homeless or economically disadvantaged population preferred
  • Knowledge of Community Resources
Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass various background checks
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance
  • Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
