JOB DESCRIPTION: Why do you love Teaching? At Sylvan, we remember why. As an Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are: Just Teaching. No developing lesson plans. As a Sylvan Instructor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach one on one or in a small group setting of 3-4 students. You will provide personalized instruction in your areas of expertise. We are currently hiring positive, nurturing and skilled reading and math teachers to teach small group instruction outside the classroom for grades K-8 and 6-12 at multiple private schools in the Rochester, NY area. If you aspire to inspire, then we want you on our team. As a successful Instructor, you will:

Deliver Quality Education:

• Teach reading, writing, and/or math using Sylvan based programs
• Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour
• Reward students for completed assignments
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Inspire and develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan
• We require : Bachelor's degree**
• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
• Content knowledge and curriculum familiarity

• 4 hour shift
