Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000

Ionetix is seeking a full-time Systems Commissioning Engineer in Lansing, Michigan. This position will have the ability to work with the newest, advanced technology to administer system acceptance testing within manufacturing and travel to site operations, working with a team to install and commission our cyclotron system as part of the startup of Isotope production sites.

In this role, you are able to use your skills and knowledge to:

• Assist in the installation and pre-commissioning at the manufacturing facility.
• Complete the cyclotron system acceptance testing in accordance with the established protocols and contributes to continual improvement of the testing process.
• Monitor commissioning support equipment and report issues requiring escalation.
• Serve as a key liaison on the commissioning process and provide status updates to Ionetix divisions and departments (Manufacturing, Quality, Site Deployment/Operations, Engineering), working cross functionally between areas.
• Travel with the commissioned system to site locations and serves as the primary installer for cyclotron commissioning/startup in preparation for handoff to site operations.
• Provide clear, prompt, and effective communication of progress, improvements, and issues.
• Adhere to the highest safety standards while leading the execution of system tests and experiments.

Ideal Candidates will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied science, or related field of study or formal training with equivalent years of experience
• Two (2) years of electromechanical system level test experience
• Experience working with particle accelerators or related technology; semiconductor processing equipment, medical imaging equipment, or similar physics intensive products (RF, high power electronics, high vacuum, superconducting magnets), preferred
• Working knowledge and experience with radiation, preferred
• Experience using hand, power, and electrical testing tools
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis
• Excellent written communication skills to include detailed and specific documentation
• Demonstrates proactive communication and strong collaboration with internal partners
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically
