Position Summary

The Systems Support Tech will mainly operate out of the restaurants conducting repairs and maintenance on restaurant technologies. This position is on the ground to ensure the most stable environment for all technologies deployed at the restaurants. Daily duties include help desk ticket management, problem diagnosis, repair and/or replacement, preventative maintenance, as well as escalation & collaboration with the senior technology team when required. Restaurant technologies include but are not limited to: POS hardware, networks, security camera systems, and music systems.

Essential Responsibilities

· Provides front-line and high-level IT hardware, software, and network support to internal and/or external clients to simplify and enhance their IT experience.

· Replies to requests for technical assistance; identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks; and escalates technical issues if unable to resolve.

· Supports core business applications, virtual environments, firewalls, and networking.

· Monitors and maintains both physical and virtual servers, appliances, and applications.

· Coordinates special projects, such as network-related wiring plans; hardware and software purchases; and system installation, backup, maintenance, and problem solving.

· Provides incident management and system monitoring assistance; determines problems and recommends solutions for critical technology incidents.

· Provides monitoring for system applications and issues, responds to, and escalates technical issues as required.

· Manages assigned high-level and critical incidents, and ensures tickets are fully documented and resolved properly.

· Analyzes and troubleshoots the network logs; tracks and documents the nature, processes, and resolution of problems; and communicates the results with upper management.

· Keeps current with system information, changes, and updates; researches and evaluates new technologies; and recommends network and server hardware and software.

· Trains IT and the business about security policies and consults on security issues.

Education/Experience Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent and advanced systems education or 3 years of directly related experience

· Experience with Windows Operating Systems, standard office software, POS System and related hardware and software, including Brink, Verifone and OLO

· Experience with security cameras and music systems, wired and wireless networking

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with restaurants and various Departments

· Ability to operate with patience and a sense of urgency

· Available for emergency phone and/or on-site support during off-hours (nights, weekends)

· Systems and networking troubleshooting skills with the ability to implement fixes both over the phone and on-site

· Installation and service of POS hardware

· Basic electronic hardware repair and maintenance

· Work experience in the hospitality industry preferred

· Local travel 25-50%, which may occasionally include nights and weekends

· Must adhere to Rest and Meal Period Policy

Physical Demands/Work Environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat, use hands, reaching or grasping with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to verbally communicate for extended periods of time. Must be able to work under pressure.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Must comply with Company’s Appearance and Dress Code standard as set forth in the Team Member Handbook. Works both in an office/restaurant environment. Travel 25-50%, which is inclusive of local and overnight travel. Ability to work off hours including nights and weekends. May occasionally work in an office setting and work at a computer for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.84 - $33.65 per hour
