Job description

The teacher assistant job at Puyallup Sylvan is never boring! You are on your feet, pulling materials and delivering them to our group of teachers, answering the phone, greeting customers and keeping our center clean and tidy. There are two main parts to this job:
Test Administrator:

• Warmly welcome new families to their student's assessment
• Administer both computer and paper/pencil assessments to students ages K-12 in a friendly manner
• Prepare assessment folders beforehand

• Ensure new student paperwork is completed
• Work with directors to schedule follow up appointments

Teaching Assistant:

• Prepare student binders and materials for upcoming instructional hours
• Respond to parent questions from the lobby window
• Answer phone/take messages
• Stock student store
• Monitor student store at the end of every instructional hour
• Make announcements and respond to instructors as needed
• Straighten lobby and restrooms
• Vacuum as needed

Hours may include Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs From after-school time until 7:15 and/or Saturdays from 8:45-1:15.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.49 per hour
