What you will do

As the Team Leader, Field Operations, you will manage and lead all activities of the HUB/Branch operation in compliance to corporate objectives, policies, procedures, and guidelines. You will also be the liaison between the field sales team for the area covered and the office while coordinating activities relating to Operations, Inventory Management, Inventory Requirements Planning, and other related leadership function.

  • Lead the activities of a diverse group of individuals to ensure team goals are met, including additional locations other than the main HUB/Branch assigned
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager and Sales Representatives to ensure understanding and impact of HUB/Branch policies and procedures
  • Resolve field representative, sales managers and/or customer concerns or complaints to address inventory issues
  • Manage inventory levels (both implants and instruments) to meet the needs of the territory while adhering to company days on hand and turn objectives.
  • Develop inventory management strategies with sales to ensure alignment of inventory utilization
  • Control inventory using available system tools to ensure accuracy for implants (part and lot number level) and instrument sets (set and lot number level) in hospital consignments, and in HUB/Branch/Storage locations
  • Ensure Sales Manager and Sales Representatives are aligned to the key metrics that drive the operations of the HUB/Branch
  • Understand and adhere to FDA processes and procedures within the HUB/Branch
  • Responsible for managing vehicle/FLEET maintenance
  • Manage forecast and Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the facility including bill management and facility contracts
  • Responsible for managing remote locations and employees, when applicable
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure consistency in administration and compliance with Company policies.
  • Monitor and ensure proper staffing levels are maintained and produce contingency plans for coverage in times of high volume, heavy employee vacation periods, etc. When needed, this will include directing the work of any assigned temporary staff and other associated responsibilities.
  • Manage the performance of non-exempt team members, to include:
  • Write and deliver performance appraisals
  • Provide positive recognition and administer disciplinary action when warranted
  • Hire/manage/coach/mentor/develop non-exempt team members to encourage and support a high-performance work culture
  • Ensure all employees are provided with proper training and development
  • Manage employee timekeeping, attendance, and coordinate vacation and work schedules to ensure customer needs will be met


What you need

  • Bachelors' degree or 6+ years of equivalent, relevant experience in lieu of degree required
  • Experience required; in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or similar fields preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours, as needed to support the business needs, including weekend(s) and evening(s) as needed
  • Previous leadership/mentorship experience -preferred
