Position Reports to: Production Manager

Position Summary: This position requires the ability to provide daily direction and guidance to team members. The Team Lead spends the majority of their time in direct support of team members, driving problem identification and resolution at work centers. Maintain scheduling processes daily and audits team member behavior. Daily engagement in driving key metric performance. Communication with team members and peers is critical.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate reports, track and report out on work center metrics
  • Coordinate daily shift meetings across 3 shifts
  • Identify non-standard conditions
  • Set daily work center schedules, including preventative maintenance
  • Resolve issues impacting daily production schedule
  • Responsible for the flow of materials
  • Audit performance and behavior of Team Members
  • Enforce safety, quality, and productivity expectations
  • Manage daily staffing requirements and coverage
  • Train and/or coordinate training
  • Periodically operate equipment and machines in work centers

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk for majority of work day

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience in shop floor scheduling
  • Previous leadership roles and/or experience
  • Moderate skill level using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Experience using and implementing lean manufacturing tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
