Brief Overview of Position:
Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for a Technical Writer role to support a federal client where we are focused on delivering innovative operations and solutions through proven successful methods. The ideal applicant is versatile, with a broad background and demonstrated ability to produce quality work. You must be comfortable in a challenging, collaborative, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment with a flexible work schedule supporting multiple customers.
Description of Duties:
- Working with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) stakeholders, generate and review new content for validation, and perform quality assurance, and integrate feedback received. Validate product against technology research sources
- Coordinate with IRS stakeholders to determine if Product Steward or stakeholder(s) is working on new version or product update
- Socialize written artifacts with relevant stakeholders, for partner awareness and buy-in
- Ensure deliverables (PowerPoint, Excel, Word Doc, etc) are in softcopy format
- Ensure written content is stored in IRS SharePoint and updated online as needed
- Assess, research, evaluate and update as needed the documentation ready for release or to be published
- Support outcomes via a clearly documented PowerPoint deck, updated PSP excel and retention/filing of all meeting minutes and concurrence emails in the appropriate online repository
- Support the incorporation of automation to develop/populate a dashboard for ease of use by all IRS
Education, Experience, and Security Requirements:
- Expert ability to author and update technical plans, guides and instructions in a manner that is also understandable by non-technical personnel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public trust
- Proficient using mainstream office tools such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and SharePoint
- Experience with IRS Business Domains, IT Investment Management Process Business-IT Strategic Alignment Process is highly desired
- Knowledge of IRS organizational structure and business processes is highly desired
- Knowledge of the IRS Integrated Modernization Business Plan 2.0 and the Modernized IRS Operations is highly desired
