Title
Telehealth Registered Nurse
Position Summary
As a Telehealth Registered Nurse/Immunization Nurse you will be meeting with clients via a telehealth video conferencing platform to provide travel consultations. During the travel consultation you will advise clients traveling abroad regarding vaccinations, medications, and general travel health recommendations. The Telehealth Immunization Nurse will review each client’s medical history and discuss the Centers for Disease Control requirements and/or recommendations for safe travel to countries such as Kenya, India, Peru, Thailand and more!
Job Duties

• Utilize proper travel medicine and general medicine processes to recommend immunizations and provide travel health counseling via HIPAA compliant video conferencing technology.

• Provide accurate detailed documentation via EMR.

• Schedule appropriate follow-up appointments for immunization administration.

• Ensure that audio and video functionality is present and maintained by testing these features at the beginning of each shift and contacting support as needed.

• Provide friendly, efficient, and safe service to patients and clients.

• Diligently participate in the company’s training to ensure up to date knowledge of travel medicine and vaccination.

• Adhere to safety protocols as set by the company’s medical directives and regulations.

• Demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills

• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications and Skills*

Must be willing to work on-site at a Corporate Office. This is not a remote/work from home position.

• Current RN licensure in AZ, WA and/or OR, or other states that are non compact highly desirable.

• One year experience with travel medicine and clinic experience is preferred.

• Previous experience working in Travel Medicine, either in a private clinic or Public Health setting is an asset.

• Previous experience working in Telemedicine is a plus, but is not required.

• Must be comfortable utilizing video conferencing technologies (i.e. Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)

• Must be able to navigate the complexities of working in a multi-state environment (i.e. different time zones, state regulations, etc.)

• Candidates with experience in providing travel health consults, with sound knowledge of travel vaccinations and medications for travelers diarrhea, malaria, altitude illness and world geography will be considered.

• Access to a vehicle is preferred.

• Ability to follow Medical Directives in order to safely administer vaccines and dispense medications to comply with Passport Health Standard of Care.

• Registered Nurse certification with current license in good standing (compact license preferred)

• Ability to obtain RN licensure in other states as necessary.

• Must have excellent computer skills.

• First Aid/CPR certified.

• Superior interpersonal skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Demonstrates professionalism and ability to communicate effectively with corporate clients.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and self-directed environment.

• Ability to complete assigned tasks without detailed supervision.

• Flexible and able to communicate using a mobile device.

• Licensure required for Arizona
