Family Counseling Service (FCS) is a non-profit organization in Reno, Nevada which has been around for over 25-years. FCS provides Individual, Couples, Therapeutic Groups, and Family Counseling to the population of Nevada. Our mission is to "To assist individuals and families to meet the opportunities and challenges of a changing world."

About your role:

Family Counseling Service is looking for a full-time Therapist-Intern to join our small nonprofit team to provide individual and group counseling services. An ideal applicant is compassionate and passionate about helping vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities of Therapist-Intern:

• Provide individual and group counseling
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
• Assess clients to identify causes of problems and used evidenced based practices to meet individual needs
• Conduct counseling to assist individuals to gain insight into personal problems, define goals, and engage in evidenced based practices to meet needs
• Follow up results of treatment to determine effectiveness of care
• Participate in staff in-services
• Provide crisis intervention
• Participate in staff meetings

Do you meet the Following Qualifications?

• Master’s degree from accredited school in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Must be licensed in Nevada as a LCSW, MFT, or CPC, or an intern in these areas.
• Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance
• Must have clinical knowledge regarding evidence based therapeutic interventions
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Intermediate PC skills required

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
