***2nd & 3rd Shift Openings***
The primary role is to continually monitor production throughput and act accordingly to maintain optimal equipment utilization. Applies technical knowledge to analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools. Uses software programs and testing equipment to diagnose malfunctions. Applies reliability and maintainability data to determine proactive improvements to production equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, ensures compliance with engineering specifications and/or codes. Duties may include but are not limited to:
Tasks
Repair and PM for production assembly vibration welding holding fixtures and welder plates
Perform PM for productions molds, as require.
Perform in-press repair and modification of production molds including in-press PM (during the times when specific molds are not being run in production).
Generate CAD/CAM data as required to support diemaker tasks
Make t-nuts that are used on molds.
Perform welding, heating and burning on tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures, as need for in press fix or PM
Burn excess plastic from molds, tools, dies, and fixtures when required.
Inspects by dimensional verification, any and all work performed to verify meeting specifications, as needed
Repair production mold details such as ejector pins, core pins, and inserts.
Repair production gauges for assembly operations.
Repair production assembly pallets.
Repair minor issues on production tooling and press tryouts to support production.
Provide samples of tooling as visual aids for engineers as needed
Troubleshoot new and existing pallets
Maintenance of gages and holding fixtures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
