Job Summary

Seeking a Tool and Equipment Manager with construction field experience to maintain, organize and distribute company property. Duties include:

  • Maintain Tool Room organization and Shop cleanliness
    • Organize storage of all tools and equipment inside warehouse and outside yard
    • Identify company tools and equipment using labels, paint, tags, stamp or engraver
    • Perform warehouse/yard inventory counts
    • Keep warehouse and yard areas organized and clean
  • Reception and Distribution of tools and equipment in a safe, accurate and timely manner
    • Unload materials, tools and equipment using forklift
    • Receive and store incoming tools and equipment
    • Inspect tools and equipment using appropriate inspection forms
    • Manage small tool repairs with selective vendors
  • Transport and Maintenance of tools and equipment
    • Deliver vehicles and equipment to job sites using truck and gooseneck trailer
    • Clean vehicles and heavy equipment using pressure washer when necessary
  • Tool Room Manager works under the direct supervision of the Construction Manager and will perform all other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience working in the construction field is preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor and coworkers; understand direction from foreman/leadman
  • Must be able to utilize basic math and read a tape ruler
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend twist, stand and reach repetitively, operate moving equipment and work in hot/cold/damp/cramped enviornments
  • Must be able to obtain DOT medical card/clean MVR
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification

  • Successfully pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Criminal Background, Physical Exam, Customer Security Check, E-Verify, Motor Vehicle Record (if applicable), other assessments (if applicable)
