Field Technician (Ericsson and/or Nokia)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: .

  • We are starting few training programs for Field Integrator positions. We need candidates who are ready to travel, get trained with us and start the projects. And make their carrier in Telecom sector
  • It is a training program for all green guys or Freshers from any field
  • Performs required incidental and preventative maintenance on cell site, power equipment, transmission, and associated equipment, and completes necessary logs, reports and postings.
  • Operates Personal Computer, or similar devices, to access required systems and equipment.
  • Moves and / or lifts material weighing up to a maximum of 60 pounds. Must be able to drive long distances safely to complete job assignments.
  • Works independently, with minimal, or no supervision.
  • * Establishes communications systems by installing, operating, and maintaining voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment.

  • Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, and alarm and fire-suppression systems; building ironwork and ladder racks; establishing connections; programming features; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools; and coordinating with contractors.
  • Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; and identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
  • Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables and recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
  • Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages, testing network back-up procedures, and updating documentation.
  • Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns and answering questions.
  • Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
  • Conduct collection and presentation of field data of cellular / PCS Market as required.
  • Perform basic grounding system maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC / FAA / EPA / OSHA regulations.
  • Perform manual or electronic cross connect functions.
  • Perform translations, use software modification computer inputs to create, modify, and/or correct database contents, i.e., cell translations, microwave system analysis, Digital Cross Connect administration/operation. 6. May be responsible for implementation of new services / technologies / equipment, as required

REQUIREMENTS: Must be willing to work; day, evening or night hours; overtime, emergency callouts, weekends and holidays as required. Must assume 24-hour on-call duty when assigned.

  • Requires valid state driver's license, or CDL, whichever is applicable, and satisfactory driving record check.
  • Must be able and willing to work outside in all type of weather
  • May require ability to drive vehicle with manual gearshift.
  • May require security check.
  • Must be willing to work away from home location for extended periods of time.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without employer sponsorship
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
  • Three (3) or more years of experience with fiber optics installation and telecommunications equipment installation preferred (preferred)
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Must have understanding of the hazards and precautions of the trade Basic knowledge of installation of telecommunication services
  • Must be able to travel to work sites 75-80% of the time

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: * RAN Node (GSM, UMTS, LTE) Integration in field. Working & Troubleshooting experience with DUG, DUW, DUL, BB5216/6630/6648

  • Experience in SAR M/IXRE router integration/ Upgradation/troubleshooting.
  • Experience in handling Power Upgrade for Various Ericsson RBS system.
  • Knowledge of Various Ericsson Equipment (DUs/BBUs /RRUs/ AIR/RU/RBS types).
  • Knowledge of Various Antenna System, Radio Losses, Radio Connector losses.
  • Experience & Knowledge of Optical Fibers, various Connectors, SFPs and their specification
