Pay and Benefits
  • Pay Rate starts at $20.00/hr
  • $1,500 Retention Bonus (New Hires ONLY eligible after 120 days of successful employment).
  • Quarterly Bonus Opportunity up to 5% of your quarterly earnings
To provide administrative and organizational support to the Training & Development Team in an effort to ensure timely, accurate and comprehensive training programs to NYSOH staff.

Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrative support to Training classes and Training Team members, including class rosters, attendance sheets, assessments, test logs, evaluations, etc.
  • Assists in scheduling of training sessions and individual onsite and offsite training programs, and supporting, when necessary, the coordination of training room set-up, audio-visual set-up, supplies and participant notification for training events.
  • Participates in process and team meetings to identify and recommend changes to policies and procedures.
  • Assists with the preparation of training resources and maintenance of Learning and Development resource library to support ongoing professional development of staff.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots and updates LMS (Learning Management System), including updated reporting for Training Classes, Registrations, and any noted trends to Training Management.
  • Maintains and updates L&D team site on SharePoint, including communications, updates, announcements, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • May create and update policies and procedures, work instructions, and other supporting documents, as needed.
  • May support basic reporting and analysis.
  • May support the design, development, and distribution of training programs and materials, including basic document formatting and document publishing responsibilities.
  • May support Training Specialists in the classroom on occasional basis, as needed.
  • Responsible for adhering to established safety standards.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
  • Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Work is constantly performed in an office environment.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned by management.
Education Required:
  • High school diploma or
  • Associate’s degree preferred in one of the following areas: Human Resources Development, Communications, Personnel Relations, Business Administration or Education.
Background & Experience Required:
  • 2 years of experience.
  • Effective communication skills regarding all levels of staff and diverse populations.
  • Must be a good organizer, meticulous, and be able to effectively deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to complete multiple projects/tasks under competing deadlines with accuracy and thoroughness
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Basic Smartsheet creations, reporting, and usage of the system preferred.
  • Sharepoint experience preferred.
  • Instructional design and development, teaching, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience using an LMS, and all related reporting capabilities preferred.
  • Experience in multi-media development applications.
  • Creative ability, writing proficiency, and visual graphics design ability preferred.
Houly Rate for this position starts at $20/hr
