Job description

Marcy Transportation Services is currently seeking full time transportation drivers who are compassionate, caring, reliable and responsible. Primary assignment will be transporting students for Anne Arundel County Public Schools and other assigned client requests.

Job Responsibilities

• Transporting students to school, and other clients to their respective destinations by utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manor.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.
• Maintain a professional image and attitude in regard to clients and coworkers.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Assist clients as needed to safely enter and exit the vehicle and to and from their destinations.
• Understand and operate GPS on cell phone.
• Understand and utilize transportation app provided.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Driver Qualifications and Education Requirements

• NO MOVING VIOLATIONS in the last 3 years, no need to apply if so.
• MUST BE VERY PUNCTUAL, RELIABLE AND DEPENDABLE.
• Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring and timely manner
• Must possess a valid Drivers License and preferably NOT been suspended.
• Must have a clean background check and driving record and pass a drug screen
• Must have a stable work history with a track record of being reliable and ON-TIME

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Flexible to work at various hours of the day

Other Skills

• Previous transportation driving experience
• Must be able to assist disabled and wheelchair clients onto vehicle
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Be able to multi-task
• Have a passion for helping others
• Excellent communication skills
• BLS or CPR certified

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing wheelchairs and crouching frequently throughout the day.

Days and hours of work vary by schedule. Early morning and an occasional holiday may be required as schedule demands.
