TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST - SAN ANTONIO, TX
Job description
§ Track and trace deliveries throughout the network to provide proactive communication regarding delivery delays to stores for all carriers across the network for Fresh and Traditional deliveries using StoreNet communication and P44 tracking
- Third Shift Schedule - 3 Days a week, days may vary
§ Resolve load issues involving bust outs, over weights, and/or paperwork issues
§ Answer emails from the field with questions regarding delivery ETAs, delivery concerns, sweep requests, etc.
§ Answer telephone calls from drivers, vendors, DCs, SSC and other external sources
§ Work with drivers to ensure they understand the delivery documentation, call stores when the delivery is late, monitor load dispatch assignments, and review load optimizing.
§ Reporting Function:
§ On Time Deliveries
§ Communication to Stores
§ Door Alerts/Orbcomm Temp Alerts
§ Fuel Alerts
§ Maintenance Alerts
§ Answer and process driver load messages through satellite communications and facilitate swaps
§ Plan and assign rolltainer/milk crate sweeps and dunnage consolidations for private fleet
§ Proficient communication (written and verbal), listening, and interpersonal problem-solving skills
§ Knowledge of dedicated transportation operations
§ High attention to detail, strong planning, and organization skills
§ Understands driver logs and hours of service
§ Proficient in usage of dispatch software to perform routing, scheduling, and shipment tracking
§ Ability to function in a high-stress environment
§ Must know MS Office software
§ This role is primarily second shift and/or weekends
