UAT Quality Analyst I or II (DOE)
Telecommute Option - Must reside in ID, OR, UT or WA
WHO WE NEED
UAT Quality Analyst I or II is responsible for assuring that all Business functional testing activities are completed within a particular Business work stream and delivered with high quality while ensuring no KPI’s are negatively affected.
UAT Quality Analyst I works with the Agile team members, Business, Quality Engineer, and Development to accurately coordinate and perform Business functional testing activities while preventing production defect leakage. Apply the use of related testing tools, detect defects throughout the UAT process, and participate in related UAT project activities.
UAT Quality Analyst II applies analysis of business functionality to increase the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of processes for both current and future business needs. Often involves working and consulting with business system matter experts, and information technology staff to define business work processes, application data requirements, application configuration, and system functionality.

The UAT Quality Analyst I would have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field, up to 3 years of business, health insurance or general health industry experience and 1 year of experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, acceptance testing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The UAT Quality Analyst II would have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field, 3-5 years of business, health insurance or general health industry experience and 3 years of experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, and acceptance testing with 1 year experience effectively writing and running queries to support UAT activities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
YOUR ROLE
  • Understand the overall business work stream from a business user’s perspective.
  • Apply industry-standard methods to develop and execute UAT, regression and end to end functional tests.
  • Review of business requirements, system requirements, architecture and design documents, and preliminary test planning.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure adequate test coverage and efficient UAT execution.
  • Report test results, submit defects and verify defect fixes.
  • Effectively use required testing tools.
  • Define and prepare test data.
  • Compiles final testing documentation and prepares it for Bundle Release.
  • Provide support for production of Go-live/post implementation activities.
Additional Responsibilities for level II
  • Select, schedule, train, and coach Business Test Team. Provide access to systems and tools.
  • Advise Product Owners in identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for assessing project success.
  • Act as an information resource about assigned area for Quality Assurance and other UAT Analysts.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure adequate test coverage and efficient UAT execution across multiple Business areas.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Knowledge of healthcare insurance domain and Facets experience required.
  • Ability to identify process changes and impacts to end user operational procedures.
  • Ability to elaborate business requirements into effective test cases for total functional coverage.
  • Ability to define and execute test cases, and write test scripts from business requirements documentation confirming that systems meet business objectives.
  • Ability to react quickly and remain productive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently while remaining agile and adaptable to constant change.
  • Ability to verify defects identified via testing are effectively recorded, communicated and understood.
  • Experience with a functional business area that is supported by this position (i.e. claims processing, membership processing, customer service, etc.) preferred.
Additional Requirements for level II
  • Demonstrated ability to select and apply appropriate industry-standard processes and practices to prevent and detect defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand processes related to effective quality UAT.
  • Vast knowledge of testing techniques to cover all possible testing validation.
  • Experience using programming languages, software tools, and/or a variety of desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of software development and project methodologies including Agile.
  • Able to prioritize test cases on a risk- based testing approach.
  • Ability to perform analysis of production defect leakage metric and use data collected as a tool for improved future functional testing.
Work Environment
  • Travel may be required, locally or out of state.
  • May be required to work outside normal hours.
