User Experience Researcher (UX Researcher)
Location: Hybrid/Flex in NY
Position Summary
We’re looking for a User Experience Researcher to join our user experience research team. In this role, you’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to create products and services that satisfy both business and customer goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, gather, and analyze insights about customers based on existing and new research projects.
- Partner closely with UX designers to create design solutions based on customer data for Chegg products, including mobile.
- Test mockups and prototypes of Chegg products and services with both local and remote research participants using tools like Figma and UserTesting.com.
- Partner closely with product managers to define product development goals and timelines including upcoming quarters.
- Author high-quality final reports for stakeholders including actionable insights and recommendations.
- Present research findings to stakeholders in a timely and engaging way.
- Review product metrics/analytics regularly and identify opportunities for improvements to the user experience.
- Conduct surveys and post-launch interviews with current and canceled customers; identify and
explore opportunities for product improvement(s).
- Partner with Chegg’s customer support to identify, prioritize and address user experience
related issues and explore solutions.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in user-centered design practices
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to plan, manage and execute research projects
- Curious and creative; enjoy exploring complex issues and problem solving
- Proven competency with the rapid iterative design process
- Able to blend both quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback into product design process
- Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Design or related field
- 1+ years working as a UX researcher in a fast-paced environment
The pay range for this position is $73,388 to $181,723. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
