User Support Specialist – Chicago, IL

We have a career opportunity for an IT Specialist with experience in hardware support, onboarding setup and distribution. This position will also support offboarding needs and computer inventory management. This person will play a key role managing the day-to-day operations of providing hardware and onboarding support to our 20+ locations throughout the US in coordination with the MIS Team. Additional functions with End User Support and Help Desk support will also be performed.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Support the day-to-day IT/MIS areas within User Support services, including special projects as assigned
  • Staff the Help Desk, addressing user questions and issues regarding computer/equipment issues, file restores, MS Office products, accessibility, and more, escalating complex infrastructure and software program issues as needed to the Program Support and Infrastructure teams
  • Maintain series of loaner laptops in every Benesch office for staff in the event of failure
  • Partner with the Program Support team in ensuring the proper tracking of licenses and alerting them of potential needs for firmwide updates, hot fixes, and patches
  • Assist in the installation of Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) on user computers
  • Any other duty assigned by the MIS User Support Manager, MIS Director and/or CPIO

What You Will Need:

  • B.S. Degree from accredited university/college
  • Minimum of two years experience with hardware and software support
  • Tier 1 help desk support preferred
