Utility Team (Floater for Teller and/or Banker role)
Job description
Position Summary: This is a full-time benefited position with a 40-hour work schedule, Monday ? Friday. The Utility Team works on site at all of our retail branches to fill in as needed, providing coverage for the Personal Banker and/or the Teller position. This position is responsible for providing excellent sales, service and transactional needs to customers and support for the branches. This role operates in an office environment requiring a professional presentation.
Essential Functions
Teller Role:
Accepts deposits, verifying cash and endorsements, and issues receipts
Cashes checks
Cross-sells the Bank?s services and products
Processes night deposit bags
Issues Official Bank Checks
Accepts loan payments and safe deposit box rental payments
Answers customer inquiries and gives balances
Balances transactions at end of day and verifies cash totals
Personal Banker Role:
Greets and directs customers
Explains various services available and assists customers in selecting these services
Opens various types of new accounts; processes debit card and check orders
Opens IRA accounts and handles specific customer paperwork on request
Performs a variety of other tasks, such as filing, copying, and distributing and opening mail
Opens and closes safety deposit boxes; assists with inventory of deceased customers? boxes
Provides maintenance for existing accounts; maintains confidentiality of customer accounts
Acts in the absence of the branch manager for opening and closing, etc
Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned by Branch Manager as they relate to the Bank and its functions.
