Fear Free™ Veterinary Technician

Our AAHA-accredited, 12-doctor general and exotics practice is located in a new, state-of-the-art facility just 20 minutes north of Boston and 20 minutes south of New Hampshire.

• We have a meditation room that doubles as a lactation room for new moms, and we offer free subscriptions to Headspace and mental health support through Lyra Health.
• 3 of our doctors worked here before they went to vet school.
• 2 of our doctors completed externships here while in vet school.
• Many of our vet assistants and CVTs joined us after completing tech externships.
• When it comes to Fear Free™, we put our money where our mouth is. Our new (December 2020) facility is designed with separate entrances, lobbies, exam rooms, holding areas, and treatment areas for dogs and cats/exotics.
• We have iCalm music piped throughout the lobbies, exam rooms, and holding areas.
• All of our doctors and more than half of our associates are Fear Free Certified, and we’ll pay for your Fear Free Certification and veterinary technician classes to become eligible for the Veterinary Technician National Exam.
• We see 52.5% dogs, 25% cats, and 22.5% exotics (including reptiles, birds, small mammals, and aquatics).
• About 15% of animal hospitals are accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, a distinction we’ve held for more than 40 years.

• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry
• Radiology

• Venipuncture

• Patient recovery
• Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
• Interested candidates may be trained in radioiodine (I-131) treatment for feline hyperthyroidism (includes a $2 hourly differential)
