Job description
The Vice President, LCMC Cancer Center will be responsible for overseeing the finances and administration of the emerging LCMC Oncology Service Line across the entire enterprise. The Vice President, LCMC Cancer Center will work closely with providers, nursing, and administrative leadership to standardize and enhance business practices related to the delivery of care for patients of the LCMC Cancer Center. In addition to developing a premier cancer service line with comprehensive clinical, ancillary and support services, the role will be instrumental to the pursuit of NCI designation with LSU. In partnership with the LSU Cancer Center Associate Director for Administration, the Vice President, LCMC Cancer Center will be charged with creating and sustaining a high performing integrated administrative infrastructure for the Cancer Center.
The Vice President, LCMC Cancer Center will work collaboratively with a team of key clinical and administrative executives who together are charged with full responsibility and accountability for advancing and supporting all aspects of the quadruple aim as they relate to the oncology population served by Louisiana Children’s Medical Center. This executive will have a highly valued matrix working relationship with the Cancer Center Director. Along with an extended team of clinical and administrative colleagues, these leaders will be charged with the full clinical, academic, research and oncology business enterprise. LCMC, has committed $75 million in funds and anticipates further investments to build the clinical and research enterprise over time. The Vice President, LCMC Cancer Center will be charged with overseeing the full oncology business enterprise and maintaining a premier academic adult cancer clinical service line that is a regional market leader and on par with NCI-designated cancer centers around the country.

Documented success in financial management of a clinical program.
