The Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a progressive and forward-thinking VP of Human Resources to direct and oversee the North American organization’s HR plans in ways that support the mission and overall strategy. This position is based in Chilton, WI.

About the role

This position has high accountability and reports directly to the CEO of North America with a strong dotted line to our Corporate Head of Shared Services. The ideal candidate should prove they are leaders and strategic thinkers, effective people managers and problem-solvers.
You must be able to promote the role of strategic HR and ensure the long-term success of both HR and the organization.

As a Vice President of Human Resources, you will:
  • Analyze the effectiveness of HR operations and policies
  • Collaborate with the management team to fulfill the company’s vision and mission
  • Plan and integrate companywide benefit programs
  • Effectively negotiate medical dental and other benefits for all North America
  • Plan and coordinate safety program
  • Develop strategic HR plans and policies (recruitment, training, compensation etc.)
  • Decide and act on initiatives for equal opportunity, diversity etc.
  • Assume responsibility of labor and employee relations
  • Re-engineer processes to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Ensure all procedures comply with legal regulations and best practices
  • Collaborate with Corporate offices in Europe to ensure synergies on policy and Handbook development
  • Report out to Executives on HR KPI’s
  • Develop Hiring programs to ensure top talent
  • Provide leadership and talent development training and best practice
  • Leading a team of 18+ spread over North America

Your Work Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s in business, HR, or applicable SHRM/SPHR Certification
  • Proven experience as Vice President of Human Resources or another senior HR role
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment etc.)
  • Knowledge of local and international labor law
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Paycom HRIS Experience preferred
  • International Business Exposure
  • Experience in Union and Non-Union manufacturing environments.
