JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a full-time driver & warehouse team member based out of our Vero Beach, Florida location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The driver/warehouse team member is responsible for driving a truck to transport and deliver cargo or materials to specified destinations and customers. They are also responsible for the following duties:

Delivery/Warehouse

Accurately pull orders for delivery in a timely and safe manner. Ensuring all materials match the inventory being pulled or received. Safely and accurately securing cargo for transport. Checking warehouse on an on-going basis for orders/transfers and ensures all items are loaded in a timely manner for delivery. Properly submitting appropriate paperwork in a timely fashion and as directed by manager. Safely and accurately operating warehouse equipment to load, unload, or disperse cargo and/or materials. Physically inspecting items for damage as needed. Inspecting shipments/equipment as needed.

Driving/Delivery

Properly and efficiently completing pre and post vehicle Inspections on daily basis. Pickup materials to and from customers/vendors at distribution sites, delivers materials to residential and commercial sites and unload deliveries. Deliver documents between Goldin Solar offices. Maintaining contact with the logistics manager as needed or required. Inspecting shipments and equipment as needed.

General

Receiving and stocking incoming inventory, as well as direct shipments from manufacturers. Properly and efficiently preparing outgoing shipments as needed. Properly restocks products in the warehouse on a daily basis and/or as needed. Performing/assisting with cycle counts as needed/directed by manager. Assisting in locating and moving miscellaneous inventory, or documents. Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner; sweeping the warehouse and office floor and cleaning debris as necessary or directed by logistics manager.

Customer Service

Assisting field crew with unloading materials on site as needed. Providing the highest level of customer service to our customers.

Safety

Safely and properly operating vehicles at all times pursuant to company policy and/or State and Federal regulations, guidelines and procedures. Safely operating appropriate equipment including a forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack. Following all safety standards and requirements within the warehouse according to company policy and general standards. Notifying supervisor of all safety concerns; incidents and/or accidents.

DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS:

At a minimum, you must have a valid Class E Florida Driver License. An endorsement is not required.

A CLEAN driving record!

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

Minimum 2 years of warehouse and delivery experience preferred. Knowledge of all applicable FDOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. One (1) year of experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment preferred. Ability to develop relationships with field crew and provide a high level of customer service. Must be able to accurately attend to details and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions. The ability to drive for up to 12 hours and work an average of 50 hours per week transporting materials and sitting for extended periods of time in a truck.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The ability to walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, and climb, as necessary, to perform required daily task. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Must be able to operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner. The ability to drive long distance (statewide) for an extended number of hours. Must be willing to work 10 to 12-hour shifts as needed.

$20-$25/hr DOE & driving record
