Warehouse Operations Manager

We're a boutique, event rental company here in Charleston, SC. We provide eclectic lounge/bar/decor for local weddings, festivals, corporate and private events. We are seeking someone who has held a management position previously in the industry, or outside the industry.

Position Title: Warehouse Operations Manager

Compensation: Salary - $40 - 45k (based on experience) + Paid Vacation

Schedule: Weekday warehouse hours + Managing Event Deliveries as needed

Job description: The Warehouse Manager position will assist with the general upkeep, organization and maintenance of the company’s warehouse and rental items. This role will help manage Delivery Crew staff and logistics for upcoming event deliveries. This position will require weekly 1hr manager meetings at the French Eclectic office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead team of event delivery staff to provide timely delivery of rentals to designated site locations. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Ensure timely arrival of staff
• Distribute ‘Pull-sheets’ to staff and and confirm delivery information
• Responsible for overseeing quality control of rentals coming in and out of the warehouse from events
• Review upcoming orders and clean/prep items for delivery
• Manage additional staff as needed for cleaning/rental preparation
• Monitor rentals upon return and make appropriate repairs or report damages
• Work with Sales Manager to finalize the logistics and delivery schedule for upcoming events and input information into our scheduling software
• Managing and maintaining a delivery team that can satisfy our bookings. If we are in need of more staffing, creating hiring posts on necessary platforms and doing the initial screening of candidates before bringing them in for interviews
• Scheduling/assigning staff for all deliveries, which includes reaching out to staff for their availability prior to scheduling
• General warehouse care, maintenance and upkeep as needed
• Manage and purchase cleaning and general supplies as needed
• Manage the servicing and maintenance of delivery trucks
• Reserve U-Haul trucks in advance for deliveries as needed

‘On-Call’ Responsibilities:

• Maintain excellent communication with event delivery staff while deliveries are in progress and be available to answer questions and help troubleshoot
• Monitor and answer incoming calls on the French Eclectic ‘MOD’ line and provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
• Be available to fill-in as delivery crew if a staff member calls out

Requirements:

• Physically fit with ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Experience managing a staff and exhibits strong leadership skills
• General knowledge of furniture care & proper maintenance
• Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and provides thoughtful solutions or suggestions to any problems they encounter
• Experience in event production or similar industry knowledge is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
