The Warranty Data and Financial Analyst will perform data mining and various data/ financial analysis within the Warranty Department. In addition, he/she will develop reporting tools/dashboards and create routine and ad-hoc presentations. The primary focus of the team is on analyzing the main drivers of costs and finding ways to optimize them. This role will analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and forecasts, develop and routinely update financial reporting, and recommend actions for further optimization.
He/she will perform statistical analysis based on financial criteria to analyze various cost trends on all BMW and MINI Warranty and Service programs and assist in data extraction from multiple data sources. The Warranty Data and Financial Analyst will build reporting formats and create dashboards via Tableau to support business decision making.
This role will also support the processing of Labor Rate and Parts Reimbursement increase rate requests for all BMW, MINI, and Motorrad Dealers and support the rollout of various dealer facing programs including our Consumer Price Index based adjustment programs. He/she will also develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality. The Warranty Data and Financial Analyst will interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports for operational metric tracking.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1-3 years of data extraction and financial analysis experience.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
Preferences:
- Strong Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access.
- Business intelligence and data extraction tools: COGNOS, Tableau, Qliksense, SQL, etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
