Position Summary: Lower Loup NRD is looking for a Water Modeling Coordinator who will focus on developing techniques to generate decision ready data and predicting future outcomes from environmental or operational data. The Water Modeling Coordinator will implement projects to better understand natural resources in the district and will work alongside consultants, modelers, and NRD field staff in a collaborative capacity.

Essential Job Requirements:

· Proficient in GIS

· Ability to process and present water data

· Strong coordination abilities in water modeling

· Familiarity with large-scale models

· Expert knowledge and understanding of collaborative workflows

· Comprehensive understanding of concepts related to hydrology, soils, water quality, water resources planning, and environmental statistics

· Ensure seamless execution of projects and coordination/collaboration of project teams

· Assist with project correspondence, documentation, and ensure deadlines are met

· Proficiency in resource planning, scheduling, and tracking

· Perform site visits and work collaboratively with other systems and with partners to facilitate solutions

· Assist with maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations

· Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise (emphasis on Server and ArcPRO) and ArcGIS Online environment

· Proficient SQL Server database experience

· Fluency in Microsoft Suite including Access

· Solid IT experience is a plus

· Implement projects to better understand natural resources in the district

Specific Duties:

Included but not limited to the following:

· Coordinating the District’s ArcGIS Enterprise needs

· Manage and assist others in operations in an ArcGIS online environment

· Assist with the development of use of groundwater models

· Required to present data in a meeting setting, general correspondence with producers, etc.

· Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

· Pursuing an Associates or Bachelors’ Degree in GIS-related field (Agriculture, Geographic Science, Natural Resources) or equivalent.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication.
